Coming of Age as a Skeptic and Believer

Oxford University
Oxford's buildings portray how historic the university is to this day. From walking around the campus, it was evident that there are elements of prestige and wealth all around the school.

Like a lot of people, Sebastian had some doubts about his faith and was ironically placed in Christ's Church College which is the only college at Oxford that has its own chapel.

Hampton Court Palace
Sebastian came from a wealthy family and would have appreciated the decadence at Hampton Court.

The fountain was a recurring theme throughout the novel Brideshead Revisited and represented cleansing and rebirth.

Kenwood House
The scenic country home of Kenwood House was designed by the same man who designed the Marchmain house.

  1. Pithy glosses, though I longed for a little more of your own take on the readings, themes, and sites.

  2. I really like your pictures and the commentary you added to each one is simple but informative. I also like how you related it back to Brideshead Revisited.
